Vibration Isolation Platform
A Vibration Isolation Platform (VIP or Platform) is placed on a sturdy table or countertop and the vibration sensitive equipment is placed on the Platform. The VIP cuts off the transmission of vibrations from the tabletop or countertop into the equipment.
Vistek isolation technology is superior to air technology. First, Vistek vibration isolation platforms are passive, mechanical and maintenance free. There are no air hoses or supporting hardware required. Second, Vistek bearings isolate effectively for the horizontal and vertical vibration components. The superior performance of the Vistek bearings in all six degrees of freedom makes the Vistek isolation platform the best choice for eliminating unwanted vibrations.
The Platform is comprised of a black powder coated plate and three or four Vibration Isolation Bearings. The plate is steel unless otherwise noted as aluminum.
There are two basic series of vibration isolation platforms: The Series 320 VIP (replacing the original Series 300 VIP) and the Series 3200 VIP (replacing the original Series 3000 VIP).

| Rectangular shaped Platforms with three of four Vibration Isolation Bearings. The Platform is available in the following sizes: 12” x 18” (30cm x 46cm), 16” x 16” (41 x 41), 18” x 24” (46 x 61), and 24” x 30” (61 x 76). For each of these platform sizes, there exists a specific part number that should be selected depending upon the weight of the instrument to be isolated.

| Series 3200 VIP Custom Designed for Precision Equipment

| The Series 3200 Platform, which also uses three or four vibration isolation bearings, is machined to the match the footprint of the specific instrument you wish to isolate. The Platform virtually disappears under your instrument.
The Series 3200 VIP is ideal when tabletop or countertop space is limited. Vistek has developed custom Series 3200 VIPs for microscopes manufactured by Carl Zeiss, Leica Microsystems, Nikon and Olympus. If you do not see a Platform for your microscope or other instrument on our size selection charts, and would like a custom shaped Platform for your instrument, simply contact us and we make one.
